'I saw medic eat celery over dying man'

A paramedic told today how he saw a colleague called Clive Greedy eating a piece of celery as they were treating a dying man who had collapsed in his kitchen.
Darren Claydon told a hearing of the Health Professions Council in London: "My attention was called to Clive Greedy by him saying 'Nice celery'.
He was holding a piece with bite marks." The hearing also heard that a technician, John Jones, put a prawn on the patient's chin and said: "Let's see if we can cook this prawn" as they attempted shock resuscitation.
A panel is considering claims that Mr Greedy's fitness to practise is impaired by the alleged incident. The paramedic, 46, who was with the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, was not present and not represented but denies the claims. He was later dismissed, lost an appeal and was unsuccessful at an employment tribunal. The hearing continues.

One error of judgment does not make a bad person. The Island is a small place, there are many undercurrents, and i suspect there was some malice or hidden agenda in the pursuit of this action. How many lives have been saved by these people before this?
"fitness to practise is impaired" my arse! I have seen far worse, alleged jokes, on Casualty on BBC1 for Heavens sake.
