Sex offender on the run from mental health unit

Simon Kirby
1 Oct 2008

A convicted sex offender is on the loose after escaping from a London mental hospital.

Ahmed Mohammed, 25, gave staff the slip on Saturday at the secure medical facility in Southall where he was being held. He was sentenced in 2002 to a hospital order for the indecent assault of two women.

Police warned that Mohammed, who has links with the Wandsworth and Tooting areas, was a danger to women and should not be approached. He did not take any medication with him.

The black Somalian is 6ft and of average build with short hair and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, a navy "McKenzie" jacket, grey jogging bottoms and black Nike trainers. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

why was he dressed in civvy clothes? surely he should have been in bright orange boiler suit or similar - he would soon be caught dressed like that!

No pictures of the scum then or is that against his 'uman rights?

We really have benefited from Labours open door policy. All the nicest of people come to our country.
