Pc faces jail for shift sex

Paul Cheston, Courts Correspondent

A police officer was warned today that he could face jail after he admitted having sex with a woman while on the late shift and propositioning another woman after she had been arrested.

Pc Gary Bayldon, 48, from Newport, Isle of Wight, is suspended from the hampshire force and faces an inquiry. He admitted three counts of wilful misconduct and was remanded on bail at Kingston crown court today. He admitted that he told a woman she was gorgeous, stroked her hand while she was in custody, tried to kiss her while taking her home after she had been released, and told her that her children would be all right if she went out with him.

Presumably if the officer had "admitted" having sex with another man, instead of a woman, he would have been suing for discrimination and demanding a promotion by now.

A few years ago this sort of misdemeanour would have merited a bollocking and a transfer to another force. Now it becomes national news.

It is about time the politically correct senior officers were all cleared out and the police were allowed once more to police our streets and combat the drug addition and violent crime that is rampant in our cities.
