Benefits fraud probe into claims made by Bakri's ex

BENEFITS investigators are examining claims made by the ex-wife of radical Islamic preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, it has been claimed today.

They are said to be looking into reports that Hanah Fostock allegedly still claims housing benefit and council tax as a single person, despite the fact she remarried after splitting from her first husband. The 48-year-old is also said to claim child benefit for son Bilal, even though he lives in Lebanon with his exiled father.

Bakri, dubbed the "Tottenham Ayatollah", was refused re-entry to Britain in 2006. He called the 9/11 and 7/7 terrorists martyrs and railed against Britain and the US while living with his wife and their six children in Edmonton.

But his wife refused to join him in exile and married a Pakistani shopkeeper in February.

It has been claimed she did not re-register for income support benefit as a married person. Works and pensions staff are set to interview her about her entitlement to benefits. If found guilty of fraud she could be asked to repay any money she was not entitled to, face having property confiscated or be jailed.

Talk is cheap, action speak louder then words. Shame on Nu-Lab going along with it.

I'm sure that after the investigation this lady will have been found to have made a an "administrative" error.
