Guy's all smiles as he gets back into the party spirit

SO this is what life after Madonna does to a man. Guy Ritchie could barely contain his joy as he made his first public outing since the official announcement of his divorce from the pop star.

Ritchie does not appear to be suffering any great divorce disorder. In fact, last night he was laughing possibly all the way to the bank. Ritchie could be entitled to up to half of Madonna's estimated £300 million wealth after eight years of marriage. Madonna, meanwhile, is said to be so angry she is seeking Kabbalah counselling to control her rage at her eventually-to-be ex.

Last night cap on head rather than in hand Ritchie attended the private view of artist Sam Taylor-Wood's new exhibition at the White Cube gallery in Piccadilly. Ritchie, 40, took with him the two stars of the new Sherlock Holmes film he is shooting Robert Downey Jr, who plays Holmes, and Jude Law, as Watson.

Taylor-Wood is also suffering her own marital trauma, having announced last month that her 11-year marriage to White Cube's owner Jay Jopling had also ended. For a decade they have been the art world's golden couple and it was therefore not surprising that Taylor-Wood, exhibiting at the gallery for the first time in four years, should attract her own cast list of celebrities, including actors Hugh Grant, Daniel Craig (his arm still in a sling from an injury sustained some weeks ago) and Benicio del Toro.

Meanwhile, Madonna, 50, currently on tour in Canada, was reported to be VERY, VERY CROSS over his alleged money demands and details of their relationship leaking out. A source told the Sun today: "Madonna is very angry with Guy - she's furious that he feels entitled to get lots of cash while she's working her ass off on tour."
