Pc is jailed for having sex on duty

A POLICE officer who admitted having sex with one woman while on duty and propositioning another who was under arrest was today jailed for four months.

Pc Gary Bayldon, 48, who was married at the time, would visit a divorced mother at her home for sex while on late shifts.

He asked the second woman to go to the woods with him and caressed her hands while taking her fingerprints at the police station, a court heard. He had been called to a domestic incident at her home involving her boyfriend.

Bayldon, from Newport, Isle of Wight, pleaded guilty to three counts of wilful misconduct in public office when he appeared at Kingston crown court.

He has since resigned his post with Hampshire Constabulary where he had served for more than 18 years.
