Fire Haringey managers and doctors, say social workers

FOUR out of five social workers are calling for new managers to be brought in at Haringey council following Baby P's death, according to a survey.

And 40 per cent called for the council's social services head, Sharon Shoesmith, to be sacked in the poll for Community Care, a magazine for care professionals.

The survey of 250 people in the care industry revealed that 90 per cent believed social workers suffered from high case loads, too much paperwork and complained it was too difficult to get a child in danger into care.

More than half of those who took part said they also wanted doctors to be fired over the events that led up to Baby P's death.

Another issue the poll raised was the "unrealistic" caseloads and the amount of paperwork that social workers are bogged down with. Inadequate training and a lack of supervision were also blamed for failings.

Fire them and then Jail those who can't be bothered to look at a "CRANKY" CHOCOLATE FACED COVER-UP TO THE MOST EVIL OF CRIMES...........CHILD ABUSE!

How much training does one need to efficiently "spot" an abused baby!

The baby will start to look wide eyed ( in the hope of some kind of help....survival signal ) Stare in the hope of NOT getting hurt again. Feeling pain ( Cranky mood ) will have bruises not always obviously on show...But hidden under clothing and broken bones and a very sore mouth and ear! The child will start to look gaunt!

Will cry with pain if picked up by Social worker and doctor to make sure you know how it feels! Will bang his head on anything to get rid of the pain!

Always look in his cot and bedroom to see if it is clean and NOT smeared with blood or stinks of urine!

If a child is "accident prone" then there is something VERY WRONG!!

Wipe off chocolate and dirt that is hiding the bruises so you can see the need to arrest the parent then and there!

If a child's parent is arrested for abuse ONCE.Then I would be VERY suspicious of it happening again and again!

Ask neighbours if they here screaming and thuds, and a crying miserable baby in the day or night! Is there a new man going into the house!!

Pay a mature baby sitter and write assessment on visits!

Stop paying £100,000 to supervisers..Put this toward the emergancy family that can save a child!

Is this too much to train for...How much does common sense cost!

Not only inadequate training, but overwhelmingly politically correct training.

The whole place needs cleaning out! Social workers included, thank you very much. A clean sweep through the whole department would send a clear message that this lark must come to an end. Two children dead? No lessons learned? A few soldiers fall on their swords and you can hold your breath and wait for the next event?
