Israeli coffin
Horrified: doctors say the men suffered brutal injuries

Our hostages were tortured say Israelis

Terry Kirby
2 Dec 2008

Coffins containing the bodies of some Israelis who died in Mumbai have arrived in Israel for burial, amid reports that the terrorists tortured their Jewish hostages before killing them.

At least eight of the 22 foreigners killed were said to be Jewish. Five died at the Orthodox Chabad-Lubavitch retreat, where the terrorists held out for three days.

Indian doctors were horrified at the injuries to the dead, who included Rabbi Gavriel Hotlzberg and his wife Rivka. Their son, Moshe, aged two, escaped with his nanny.

sadly this is not new. Nazis and Palaestinian terrorists were known for their cruelties against Jews, chopping of organs, especially attack genitals and even violate dead bodies after their murder.

Kathy, Waterboarding scares a person. This torture and murder is very different. To tie the two together is a sick notion.

Yes it must have been worse. You don't (usually) die or suffer long term physical damage from waterboarding.

Harvey - I read that report in the Metro this morning.

I'm saying that liberals call waterboarding, a technique that has been used on our own soldiers in the states for training purposes has been called torture by the left. I'm sure it's a hideous frightening experience but by no means compares what was done to the hostages as it doesn't maim or end in death. I'm saying that if a loved one were being held by terrorists, I would say by all means, use this technique if it would save innocent lives. If this makes me sick, so be it.

"Think the torture was worse than waterboarding?"

A sick comment by what must be a sick person.

I still cannot get over that they let the 2 year old go, but not his mother: what kind of moralising goes on in some people's heads?

Interestingly in today's Cape Times (South Africa) there is a report from India that the Muslim terrorists have not been allowed burial rights by the local Muslim community, sighting "Murder is against their religion".
I have not seen this reported anywhere in the British Press as yet-have i missed it or do we not wish to offend anyone?
