'Saatchi of the North' show at Royal Academy

AN art buyer dubbed "the Saatchi of the North" is to exhibit part of his collection at the Royal Academy.
As part of the Academy's show, GSK Contemporary, Part II: Collision Course, Frank Cohen is lending works that would normally go on display at his foundation in Wolverhampton.
Mr Cohen, a DIY store magnate and art collector for more than 30 years, will show works from India, Korea and America in the Dark Materials exhibition next week.
The show in Burlington Gardens includes rare footage of American writer William Burroughs as an artist and performer of his works.
Curator David Thorp said: "The underlying themes of Collision Course is to do with a slightly gothic, apocalyptic vision."
The exhibition opens on Tuesday and runs until 19 January.
