X-FACTOR winner Alexandra Burke took a break from interviews and personal appearances to attend a party celebrating the end of the ITV series.

Burke, 20, from north London, was accompanied by fellow contestant Ruth Lorenzo from Spain, who was eliminated in the earlier rounds, as they left the party at Mo*Vida.

Boy band JLS, who were in the final, and TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary were also at the party. Burke's debut single, Hallelujah, which is the fastest-selling download single ever in Europe - beating the record by previous winner Leona Lewis - is released as a CD today and is expected to go straight to No 1.

HMV's Gennaro Castaldo said: "Alexandra already has the Christmas No 1 all wrapped up. Now it's about how many copies Alexandra may go on to sell."
