A London model who was upset after breaking up with her boyfriend plunged 150 feet to her death from a block of flats.

Sahar Daftary, 23, from Brentford, a former Face Of Asia winner, is understood to have gone to a flat at Salford Quays near Manchester city centre to collect her belongings.

She fell from the 12th storey of the NV Buildings just before 10pm on Saturday.

Her relationship broke down with her boyfriend, who has not been named, over the summer. He was arrested and then released on bail. Ms Daftary was in Manchester to appear at a fashion show on Saturday but cancelled at the last minute saying she was sick.

A friend said Ms Daftary had had the "world at her feet" but was unhappy after splitting with her boyfriend.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."

The NV Buildings, where flats sell for up to £800,000, was among the first waterside apartments to be built at the former site of Salford Docks.

I knew Sahar Daftary personally. We modelled together and quickly formed a friendship. I'm very saddened by her sudden death. She did not deserve this. It's very unfair.

R.I.P sweetheart... you'll be missed x

Well, at least we found out how much flats can go for in the NV Buildings.

Why?
