Christmas is time for a long Yule log-on

Britons will spend an increasing amount of time on the internet tomorrow, emailing friends, browsing auction sites, watching TV programmes and checking how long to cook the turkey.

A Post Office poll of 1,700 adults shows two thirds will log on, spending an average of 84 minutes online, a 25 per cent increase on last year.
