Pc's blog: I hate chavs and Muslims

Ed Harris
8 Jan 2009

A POLICE officer resigned today after posting foul-mouthed rants and racist slurs on his blog.

Trainee special constable Rob Johnston, 22, listed "Muslims and chavs" as things that annoyed him and posted threats to an unnamed love rival saying "I am going to be watching you. You will not breathe a word in her direction without me knowing about it."

He also said he "loved watching teenagers squirm" by "eyeballing" them as he patrolled.

His blog was littered with swear words and boasts such as: "I will do anything, no matter what it takes, to protect my interests."

Johnston, accepted as a special Pc in 2007, quit today after his bosses saw the blog. A Sussex Police spokesman added: "We find the comments wholly inappropriate."

Former Flying Squad commander John O'Connor has criticised the recruitment of a trainee with a severe stutter, saying "He can't communicate properly with the public - that means he can't operate as a police officer." The officer works in administration.

The stupidity of some people is astounding! He has a blog that is available to anyone to read, then comes out with dumb garbage like that?

Get real everyone.
The Police dont do the job for the pay, but the sense of wellbeing it gives them. This just shows they are normal like the rest of us, not the few Politically Correct people who will jump up and down in indignation at this report.
Horses for courses - I couldnt deal with the dregs of society and car crashes like them. I am pleased they do it for me. Thanks boys and girls.

To LB from London - Have you ever been a police officer? I suspect not, try doing the job before you pass stupid comments and then you will understand that its not an easy job to do.

"He can't communicate properly with the public - that means he can't operate as a police officer."

Doesnt that go for about 95% of police officers?

Charming isn't it, I spoke to a PCSO the other day who had such a strong African accent I couldn't understand him, isn't that the same thing?
