BBC regrets Moyles jokes on Auschwitz
Amar Singh21 Jan 2009
The BBC expressed regret today over jokes by DJ Chris Moyles about Auschwitz concentration camp and gay singer Will Young.
Moyles, 34, said on his breakfast show he had gone to Ireland for the BBC1 family history series Who Do You Think You Are? He said: "Unlike a lot of the shows I didn't go to Auschwitz ... pretty much everybody goes there, whether or not they're Jewish."
He marked Young's birthday by singing new words to his song Evergreen in a camp voice: "It's my birthday, gonna wear my new dress tonight." The BBC said the comments were "misjudged".

Why does the BBC continue to even tolerate let alone pay Moyles, many people better than him have tried to be controversial before and failed so tell him to pack your bags and head off into the wilderness where he truly belongs!

Why does this imbecile get away with repeatedly making offensive and ill thought out remarks when Jonathan Ross gets a more severe punishment? Ross was obviously also in the wrong, but there seem to be double standards. Get Moyles off the air!
