Knox let Meredith's killer into house, says judge

MURDER suspect Amanda Knox "opened the door" to Rudy Guede and let him into the house where a British student was killed, an Italian judge revealed.
Guede, 22, was jailed for 30 years by judge Paolo Micheli for the murder and sexual assault of Meredith Kercher, 21, of Coulsdon, at his fast-track trial in October.
Last night Judge Micheli's "reasons for sentencing" were released. The 106-page report stated that Guede entered the house in Perugia which Miss Kercher shared with 21-year-old Knox "because someone let him in and that can be no one else but Amanda Knox". He also wrote that "others were involved in the crime" which he said was "planned to satisfy sexual instincts and which then turned to murder."
The prosecutor at Guede's trial argued that he raped Miss Kercher, while Knox knifed her in the throat as Raffaele Sollecito held her down in November 2007. The trial of Knox and her ex-boyfriend Sollecito, 24, resumes next week.
