Titchmarsh denies Kama Sutra rewrite

Alan Titchmarsh has been forced to deny claims he is a sex guru after pranksters sabotaged his Wikipedia entry claiming he had penned an update of the Kama Sutra.

The 59-year-old, who sprang to fame as presenter of TV gardening show Ground Force, also denied that he is trustee of a charity called Gardens for Squats.

Titchmarsh, who now has his own chat show on ITV1, said the Wikipedia claims were "embarrassing and wrong" and added: "It's full of wrong facts. I do not have a new version of the Kama Sutra being published. I wish I knew how to change Wikipedia to make it correct."

But Titchmarsh was nominated for the Literary Review's Bad Sex Award in 1998 for a scene in his novel Mr MacGregor.

Wikipedia users can edit or post entries as they wish which leaves the service open to possible abuse. For example, David Beckham was listed as a "Chinese goalkeeper in the 18th century".

However, the Wikipedia claim that Titchmarsh's Madame Tussauds waxwork is "one of the most fondled" is true. It gets kissed so often it has the lipstick washed from its face twice a week.

His entry should also read "one of the most arrogant men on TV"......

Get over yourself Alan
