Chris Evans and his wife Natasha Shishmanian were today celebrating the birth of a son.

Noah was born weighing 7lb 4oz at 8.21am at London's Portland Hospital.

Evans, 42, who becomes a father for the second time, proudly described his son as “a little belter”. A spokesman for BBC Radio 2, where Evans works as a drivetime presenter, said: “Mother, baby and Chris are all doing well.”

Evans even found time to write about Noah and post a picture on his radio show blog. He later returned to the hospital with some shopping.
