Big acts on the bill for Teenage Cancer Trust gigs

The Stereophonics, James Corden and Mathew Horne are among the acts on the bill for this year's Teenage Cancer Trust gigs.

The Royal Albert Hall shows take place between 24 and 29 March with the aim of raising crucial funds for the charity.

Mercury prize winners Antony & The Johnsons will kick things off with Brits Critics' Choice winners Florence and the Machine as their support.

The Stereophonics will take over on Thursday night. Lead singer Kelly Jones has supported Teenage Cancer Trust since he joined The Who onstage to perform a unique version of Substitute at the first Teenage Cancer Trust gig in 2000.

On Friday, Kasabian will perform their first London show since recording their hotly tipped new album due for release in June.

Lead singer, Tom Meighan said: "It's great we can continue to support Teenage Cancer Trust and help them make a difference. We were inspired after meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at our gigs last year and it really made us want to do more for the charity."

To bring the week of concerts to a close, comedy duo Mathew Horne and James Corden from Bafta winning sitcom Gavin and Stacey will host an evening of comedy.

Roger Daltrey, Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust said: “These shows raise essential funds to support the charity's work. There will be seven completely new units built between now and the end of 2009. Everything about these specialist units has been designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome."
