Bookmakers stop taking Brit Awards bets after rush on Paul Weller for best male

Bookmakers have stopped taking bets on the Brit Awards after fears a winner's name has been leaked.

Several £50 bets were placed on Paul Weller to win Best Solo Male in William Hill shops around London yesterday.

The firm had to slash the odds on the singer to 1/5 favourite.

A source said: "This kind of betting only happens when someone knows something."

Where can I get a bet down on most of the winners speeches being both tiresome, gushing and OTT.

Perhaps there should be an award for the best award ceremony. Does anyone still give a flying whatever about the Ninnies or the Oscars or the Freds etc etc etc.....
