Harrow's slice of Hollywood was just a lie

A private members' club which apparently attracted a host of Hollywood stars has fallen foul of licensing rules.

Council investigators became suspicious about some of the names in the members' signing-in book at Ruby M's in Harrow.

Among the regulars listed were Al Pacino, Robert Redford, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger - and Jaws.Susan Hall, of Harrow council, said: "Much as I'm sure Robert Redford and Al Pacino would enjoy a visit to Harrow's nightlife, they patently weren't regulars at Ruby M's."

Club owners Umesh and Grisha Jivraj, of Woodbury Avenue, were each fined £2,000 with £500 costs by Harrow magistrates.
