Students urged to ‘smash’ beauty contest with flood of fake entries

SCORES of students are planning to sabotage the Miss University London beauty pageant final by flooding the last heat with fake entries.

Campaigners want to disrupt the event after a row over its "misogynist" attitude to women. College heats have been picketed and student unions have called for the competition to be banned.

Now feminist groups - including Anti-Capitalist Feminists, London Anarchafeminist Kolektiv, and Facebook group Miss-Ogynist University of London - plan to protest at the final on 10 March at the Crystal Club in Marylebone, after the last round of heats tomorrow.

A group called Smash Miss Contest is calling on campaigners to flood the official website with fake applications. Christian Emile, managing director of 121 Entertainment, which is organising the event, said: "Some applications have had nasty pictures uploaded, people writing insulting comments saying they hate us - it is just ignorance."

All criticising comments from men? Terrified your patriarchic right to female bodies is crumbling? I'd laugh but ignorance always makes me sad.

Kev, if my wife weighed 18 stone I'd be more concerned that she shed some of that excess weight for the sake of her health and my children, rather than get quite so exercised about how adults, with freedom of choice, decide how to spend their free time.

No doubt, if your wife weight 8 stone you'd insist she would walk the competition.

O dear, now political correctness aka the ultra left are attacking good looking people. Why don't they protest against something meaningful? if girls want to enter beauty competations so be it, get a life plain janes!

This flesh market designed by men for men's benefit renforces stereotypical out dated images of the female, its a throw back to a past age.My wife is a true beauty she has all the attributes of a good mother,a loving personality a nurturing compassionate human being and good fun,but she would not stand a chance in a miss world so called beauty contest for one reason only she weighs 18 stone, she would be excluded. There is nothing emancipating about this meat market, and it is no way democratic.

Obviously all these female 'University' students are far too stupid to make decisions for themselves.

The emancipation of women was about giving them the independence to make choices for themselves. Not to be bullied by bra-burning feminists.

how childish and stupid!

what's "misogynist" about appreciating women who make an effort to present themselves in glamorous clothes etc?

in fact, the `feminists` are being anti-democratic in trying to obstruct other females' freedom of choice.
