Victoria is go! Mrs Beckham takes a new fashion direction in Los Angeles, inspired perhaps by Parker from Thunderbirds

Is this Thunderbird Posh? Oh yes, Milady

HERE'S Victoria Beckham at Los Angeles airport sporting a look that can only be described as "chauffeur chic".

The 34-year-old pop singer-turned fashion designer looked for all the world like Thunderbird character Parker as she arrived for a flight. Her double-breasted knee-length coat was conservative for a woman who usually flies long-haul in a cocktail dress. It was teamed with suede stacked heels, a £2,000 Valentino bag and a suede military cap. She completed the look with Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses.

Her destination was unknown but it may well have been Italy, where it was revealed today that her husband David paid £2 million out of his £65 million fortune to fund his stay at AC Milan.

Beckham, 33, was due to end his loan spell at the Serie A team on Sunday but will now remain in Italy instead of returning to LA Galaxy.

The deal will signal the beginning of the end of the Beckham family's time in LA and set in motion their plan to relocate to Milan.

David said last week that the issue of whether to move their sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, six, and Cruz, three, from LA, where they have settled at school, had given Victoria "sleepless nights" but they have decided that David's desire to continue playing top-level football should come first.

When David signed to Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, Victoria hoped to launch a TV career but a pilot fly-on-the-wall series flopped. She has reinvented herself as a designer and last month launched her own fashion range, which has been received well in an industry normally cynical about "celebrity designers".

Milan, with its strong fashion heritage, is viewed by the couple as a worthy city for both their aspirations.

what a shame that she has all that money and chooses to swan around all day just trying to get her photo taken, can David really be pleased with his wifes shallow contribution to society, she could really make a difference for humans and animals that are really suffering in this country

Somebody send her a pizza or something, before she fades away.

Nice to see it matches her personality.

She looks like the doorman at my building - only without the trousers.
