Carla's Mexican sparkle
10 Mar 2009Frech First Lady Carla Bruni showed off her diamonds at a state dinner in Mexico City.
Her husband, president Nicolas Sarkozy, was holding talks with his Mexican counterpart Felipe Calderó* on the world recession.
The Sarkozys were attacked in the French press for spending a luxury weekend at a beach resort before the state visit.
Since they married a year ago, they have visited Egypt, Brazil and a French ski resort.
