Cameron returns to office
Joe Murphy10 Mar 2009
David Cameron returned to work today for the first time since the death of his son, Ivan.
The Tory leader had a busy day of meetings lined up, including the shadow cabinet, the party's management board and talks on the economy with former Conservative chancellors including Kenneth Clarke and Lord Lamont.
Some 11,500 messages of condolence have poured into his office from the public and 10 party officials have been working full time for the past 12 days sending replies. Mr Cameron and his wife Samantha paid an informal visit to his private office on Friday to thank staff for their effort to reply to the 4,500 emails and 7,000 letters.
Later he was preparing for tomorrow's Prime Minister's Questions, the first since six-year-old Ivan's death brought usual political hostilities to a respectful halt.
The little boy was severely disabled with a rare form of cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He died in hospital on 25 February after suffering seizures.

Your suggestion would look tempting Oliver but as I see it if Dave does not win the next election and chuck the wrecker Brown out the country has had it. Last one out switches off the lights.

Oliver - I appreciate the thought behind your idea, but this country would suffer severe and irreversible damage if Labour are allowed in for another term.

Dave, glad to see you back.
No need to rush, nuLabour are managing to promote your election campaign all on their own.
Are you sure you want to win this time round? If you lay back and let nuLabour win on the next election their inheritance will be so toxic that they will be unelectable for decades, may be worth the wait?
