Olympics 'will bring more trafficked women to capital'

MORE women will be trafficked into London for prostitution ahead of the 2012 Olympics, experts warned today.

It is feared the Games will see a rise in women being forced into the sex trade as tens of thousands of construction workers are employed on the project and tourism booms. Ministers were today announcing a £3.7million grant for Oval-based Poppy Project, which supports victims of human trafficking.

The money will help fund more places in safe houses and pay for extra support workers. The Poppy Project has helped about 400 victims since it was set up in 2003. Three out of four of its referrals come from London or nearby.

With the cost of the olympics spiralling out of control Londoners ought to demand that we cancel the games. To continue spending millions is burdening us with catastrophic debt which will take generations to repay - for what is at the end of the day a means of boosting the ego of Coe and a few other "also rans"

The bad guys will always try to make the most of an opportunity, no surprise there. It is just a matter of the police being able to cope with the inevitably more obvious infractions, be they great or small. The answer, in part, is quite simple - boots on the ground rather than under desks. Leave administrative work to administrators. Leave actual policing to the (real vs wannabe) uniformed branch.

Trafficked women, illegal immigrants, legal immigrants, sportsmen and women. Very few from the third world will actually leave after the games. I have no doubt that some will actually claim asylum while they are here.

Well of course it will attract them, along with the rest of the vermin.
Hold an event in an open sewer like London and see what you get.

London's population will go up permanently by tens of thousands as a result of the Olympics.

Imported prostitutes will be small percent of the illegals, non returners & asylum seekers who will stay.

Some of the workers who do return will leave pregnant women behind

The Olympics will be the biggest disaster for London since the Blitz, will do little for Londoners, and leave debts for our grandchildren.
