Carry on insulting UK troops, say preachers

Martin Bentham, Home Affairs Editor

Three of the UK's most prominent extremist Islamic preachers today compared British soldiers in Iraq to the terrorists who carried out the 7/7 and 9/11 attacks.

Exiled Omar Bakri, his follower Anjem Choudary and Ishtiaq Alamgir, the man who led the recent protest against troops in Luton, said Muslims should continue to insult British soldiers and attack "evil" democracy and freedom of speech, no matter what the consequences.

They said British forces had "blood on their hands" and warned that Britain could face more terror attacks if it did not accept "the truth of Islam".

The clerics spoke at a hotel in Walthamstow, with Bakri appearing by video link from Lebanon.

They accused soldiers in Iraq of carrying out torture, rape and murder and also called for the introduction of Sharia law to Britain, saying non-Muslims who did not accept it should leave the country.

Alamgir said: "The soldiers are saying they are doing their job. This is very shallow. The same could be said about the individuals who carried out the 7/7 or 9/11 attacks that they carried out on the orders of Sheikh Osama bin Laden."

What these people should do is sit down and think why they or thier parents are in this country it's because they were abused in thier own lands normaly by Islam.
If they love Islam so much a plane ticket would solve the problem ah but there's no free housing, education, hospital treatment is there.

Quote: and also called for the introduction of Sharia law to Britain, saying non-Muslims who did not accept it should leave the country. Have they forgot what country they are in? If they want Sharia law they should move back to the middle east (the place they wanted to escape from in the first place). The ignorance of these poeple is amazing and if they continue to carry on in such a manner; it will be only a matter of time before they start a riot. They are lucky the public in Luton were held back by the police. They are treading on VERY thin ice.

The Muslim community in Luton may well have demonstrated that they want nothing to do with the `preachers of hate`. However, much as it pains me to say it, Don from Las Vegas hits the nail firmly on the head in suggesting that our tolerance of British hating,Islamic fanatics is mis-placed. We have a democratic, Christian society which is respected by the majority of people that live here,if we are not to throw away a thousand years of history and all that it represents, we must ensure that all parts of the country reflect the attitude of Luton`s residents. Tolerance yes, but not at any price.

You not heard of taqqiya then?

- Bert, som

When is this useless Labour government going to wake up and send these preachers of hate back home?

- Stan White, leeds

Keith, what example? Arresting folks who yell at obscene Muslism fanatics who insult your loyal troops? Prohibiting Geert Wilders to enter your country for fear he's going to offend Muslims? Allowing sharia law in your country? Taking the Holocaust out of your school curriculum so not to offend the oversensative Islamic souls? Allowing these radical, British-hating inciters to live comfortably off your tax-paying monies while they do nothing but laugh at your naivity and spew treason and hatred of Britain on a daily basis? Yea, great example. You make the French seem manly about the whole thing, and that's pathetic.

- Don, Las Vegas, NV USA

The political correct loony left wingers and do gooders have made sure our police are useless and will do nothing. The same goes to our gutless and spineless MP's in Westminister. The sooner we have a general election the better !

- Joe, Swanley Kent

These fools are just preachers of hate. Here in Luton even the Muslim community have demonstrated that they want nothing to do with such malicious leaders. The rest of the country is following our example I am pleased to say
