Obama: We're off to London to visit the Queen

BARACK OBAMA set off on his historic journey to London today on a mission to save the global economy at the G20 summit of world leaders.

The President and his wife Michelle left Washington at about 1.30pm UK time for his first overseas trip since his inauguration.

Mr Obama and the First Lady boarded a helicopter waiting for them on the White House lawn which transported them to the Andrews air force base.

Mr Obama then boarded the presidential jet Air Force One for the journey across the Atlantic.

Mr Obama accompanied by a huge entourage, was due to land tonight at Stansted from where he will be taken by helicopter Marine One to the heavily-guarded US ambassador's residence in Regent's Park.

The eight-day, five country tour of Europe will begin in earnest for President Obama with a private meeting with Gordon Brown at 9am tomorrow. The afternoon has been reserved for a private audience with the Queen.

In a speech today the Prime Minister called on the banks to adopt "family values" in the wake of the collapse of over complex and misleading financial products.

To our American cousins, who say that "Obama doesn't listen to the people and is a rabid socialist"; you are, of course, completely correct. Anyone who paid close attention to the background of his election campaign and those around him would know this.
Bush became universally despised, and because of this so did his party. The Democrats could have fielded "Big Bird" from Sesame Street and still won the election.
Obama will find a great deal of common ground with McClown, as he too wants to be in charge of everything and everybody. Control freakery is one of the core tenets of socialism, which is simply communism by another name.

Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii London!

Please take good care of our new President and first lady! I am so very proud of them both. No excuses for George Bush- just very glad he's finally gone. I hope to visit your beautiful country someday.

Please, keep President Obama over there. He has taken the office of President of the United States to an all time low. Many here in the States are unhappy with his spending because we know this will be passed on to our grandchildren and possibly great grandchildren. His only reason for wanting to be President was to stroke his ego and turn this country into a socialist dictatorship. I for one, am hoping he will be a one-term President.

It may seem (in the media) that Obama listens to the people. FAR FROM FACT! He has a Marxist agenda to push through as fast as he can -- come hell or high water! Make no mistake, he and Nancy Pelosi (House Speaker) are bent on destroying our Constitution. They have made quite a bit of progress thus far. The only reason they are bailing out GM, AIG, etc. are to start the takeover of the private sector! Congress has just approved legislation to regulate the salary of all employees of the bailed out companies, not just top execs. It has only just begun.

Obama is a socialist intent on taking over the private sector and turn the private banks into govt-run banks. He is going to tell GM & Chrysler to make cars that Amercans don't want. Guess in 10 years we are going to pump more money into these trade unions car makers.

I am afraid that Obama does not listen to the people. He is a political and diplomatic amateur, and he is driving the USA toward socialism. His economic policies will bring about crippling inflation in the USA within a span of about two or three years and destroy the entreprenurial spirit. He is arrogant and his administration is riddled with people who come from the Cook County/Chicago Democratic Party organization, one of the most corrupt political machines in the country (as did Obama himself). Gordon Brown may not have the Obama charisma, but Brown is an honest man of high principles (even if many people disagree with those principles). Give me Gordon Brown any day over Barack Hussein Obama. Finally, and I must ask, I wonder if Obama will present HM The Queen with any DVDs?

The difference between Brown and Barack Obama is that Obama listens to the people, and as a consequence is more in touch with them. In the short time he has been in power, he has taken decisive action to deal with the bankers that brought the Government to its knees, and look at the way he has dealt with GM and Chrysler motor companies. He also acknowledges that mistakes were made, and is prepared to get his hands dirty rather than hide behind "the Global recession "rhetoric spouted by Brown. Brown also thinks the whole electorate is stupid enough to believe his 11 years as Chancellor has nothing to do with his lack of credibility now the country is on its knees. Someone should ask Brown if the recession was unavoidable why Canada has not been hit. It obviously "fixed the roof whilst the sun was shining". Brown is a joke and the sooner he goes the better.

I can't come to London just now. Is anyone going to welcome Obama? I mean - we're pleased to see him aren't we? Could anyone get out there and wave something friendly for the guy. Or is it all going to be smash-up and balaclavas?

It would be safe to say that Mr Obama would not put up with the likes of MISS PIGGY SMIFF, Blears, Cooper, Balls, Straw and Blunkett et al.

They would all be collecting their P45s pronto - with unelected Gormless Brown at the front of the queue.

What about a swap, can we have Obama, a man with some integrity, and let the US have Crash and his motley crew.
