Police in body parts case to reconstruct face of victim

POLICE hunting the killers of a man whose body parts have been dumped in the countryside say they want to create a facial reconstruction of the victim this week.
So far detectives from Hertfordshire and Leicestershire, who are involved in a joint operation, have been unable to identify the man. There are no matches on the DNA database or the Missing Persons' Register.
In the past month members of the public have come across the remains in five places. Now only the hands of the victim are missing.
On Saturday evening the man's torso, which had the right arm and upper left arm attached, was discovered near woods at Standon, east Hertfordshire. Two miles away on the A10 at Puckeridge a right leg was found on 7 April dumped in a bag.
The first discovery, a left leg, was found on 22 March in a layby beside the A507 at Cottered, Hertfordshire. That too was in a bag. On 29 March, a left forearm was discovered on a verge near Wheathampstead, near St Albans.
Then on 31 March a head was found in a field near a cemetery at Asfordby in Leicestershire.
Police said the victim had two front teeth missing for a couple of years.
Hertfordshire Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity from 20 March onwards to contact them.
