Jackson stops $12m sale of his treasures
Jack Lefley15 Apr 2009
AN auction of nearly 1,400 of Michael Jackson's possessions from his Neverland ranch has been called off.
The singer's production company reached a settlement with Julien's Auction House to stop items such as Jackson's Swarovski crystal glove from his Billie Jean video going under the hammer in Los Angeles next week.
Jackson's belongings will now be returned to him and he has dropped a lawsuit aimed at stopping the sale.
An exhibition of his possessions, including a golden throne and the gates to his former California home, will stay open in Beverly Hills until the end of next week. Finanical problems forced him to sell part-ownership of Neverland last year.
Experts had estimated that the sale could have fetched $12million. Jackson's production company MJJ went to court to stop the auction after he apparently changed his mind about selling the items.

Steve it's more likely the other way around. He probably cancelled the auction because of the revenue generated by the concerts. Or maybe he had second thoughts about giving up his sentimental possessions.
