Watchdog host back after air miles probe

WATCHDOG presenter Julia Bradbury is to return to the show after being cleared by police over an alleged £20,000 air miles scam.

However the 36-year-old will not be presenting stories on airlines or frequent flyer clubs when she returns to the consumer affairs programme on Monday.

Police launched an investigation into whether Bradbury abused her Virgin Atlantic frequent flyer status after it was alleged that on eight flights air miles were added to her account instead of deducted, and that she took two flights, worth £8,000, without losing points.

It was claimed that her sister, Gina Fox, 48, had colluded with a Virgin employee, who has since left the company. However, Sussex police have said Bradbury is not a suspect in its ongoing investigation.

Bradbury said last night: "Virgin Atlantic confirmed irregularities have been settled and have opened a new account for me. Police wanted to talk to me as a victim of fraud on my frequent flyer account and have confirmed I am not a suspect."
