Royal charity’s lunch broke law
Evening Standard16.04.09
THE Prince's Trust breached charity law with a fundraising lunch with Baroness Thatcher, the Charity Commission ruled today.
Prince Charles's fundraising group held a joint event in October 2007 with the Tory Party's Women2Win campaign. It paid half of the proceeds to Women2Win, recorded by the Electoral Commission as a £10,050 donation.
The Charity Commission today concluded the donation broke the law. Chief executive Andrew Hind said: “Charities must not support or fund political parties or figures.”
Women2Win has since made a donation to the trust of the same sum.

Women2Win? Yet more PC crap.
Our current Home Secretary is female, what a wonderful job she is doing!
Here's a radical idea, why not get somebody who can just do the job competently?

I bet this "Princes Trust" only benefits the already well heeled especially if Thatcher was involved.

So many charities need help - it was a small but generous gift. Being petty is so childish.
