Photographer wins Pulitzer Prize for pictures of hurricane victims
21 Apr 2009A photographer on the Miami Herald has been awarded journalism's biggest award, the Pulitzer Prize, for his harrowing images of the victims of the storms that ravaged Haiti last year.
Patrick Farrell, 49, visited Haiti four times during the hurricanes, which killed more than 800 people and left a million homeless, and captured scenes such as a man huddled in mud outside his hut, a woman washing clothes, and a starving four-year-old girl. Her mother had been planning her funeral but she survived.

Blind Pugh, the man did not cause the hurricane, or the suffering. He simply did his job as a journalist and reported it. You would not see the extent of the help needed without photos like these. Am sure next time they will keep you happy & award the prize for taking pictures of fluffy bunnies.
