Caught on camera - Tomlinson’s wound

24.04.09

A photograph has emerged showing Ian Tomlinson, 47, with a head injury before his death during this month's G20 protests.

The image shows the newspaper seller on the ground with what appears to be a large, livid wound or bruise on the right side of his forehead.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said it was examining CCTV and pictures but it would “not give a running commentary on an ongoing criminal investigation”.

The most ridiculous thing about this issue is that why are the police not given the upper hand in this sort of situation and are blamed while people could have been attacking them and they are not allowed to take any action, which I feel is upsetting considering the crime rate and the holiganism happening in london especially by teenagers when they know the law has no power against them if they are below 18, which is really appalling.

I'm not a coroner and even I can see from a grainy camera-phone pic that there was more to Ian Tomlinson's death than a simple heart attack.

The IPCC need to ensure their investigation also concerns inself with the actions of the Cornoners' Office. Three postmortem's and 24 dayslater, and there is still the grossly unpalatable wiff of the corpse of justice beaten to death by the brutes of collusion and cover-up.
