Argument that led to killing of Ben Kinsella

The brother of EastEnders star Brooke Kinsella was murdered after a row which started with the words: “What are you looking at?”, the Old Bailey heard today.

Ben Kinsella, 16, was stabbed 11 times in the street after the argument spiralled into a fight outside a bar in Islington.

His sister and parents Deborah and George were in court today as doorman Mohammad Kundi admitted customers were only subjected to a “random” search for knives on entry to Shillibeers.
Mr Kundi described the first confrontation between the killers and some of Ben's group of friends. He said there was no trouble until about 1.30am on 29 June last year.

He said he separated the two groups but “things got out of control” outside the bar. The jury has heard that Jade Braithwaite, 20, Juress Kika, 19, and Michael Alleyne, 18, chased Mr Kinsella down the street after another man, Osman Odzemir, was hit by a bottle. All three deny murder.

The case continues.
