Boris meets his match: the Mayor and his waxwork

Mayor waxes lyrical about lookalike... but vows to lose weight

05.05.09

Boris Johnson met his lookalike today at Madame Tussaud's, but said he was less than happy with its waistline.

The Mayor said: “It's only when you see yourself in 3D you realise just how fat you are, I have got to get out and start jogging more.

“But it is a brilliant job they have done. It is an amazing, eerie, lifelike, spooky version of myself.”

At least the plastic Boris doesn't admit to running red lights in London streeets that he is responsible for the safety of, and cycling on the pavements. And he is likely to be arounda a lot longer than the original to accept responsibility for anything he does

- Keith Price, Luton, England

Probably make a better mayor as well !

- Brian, Wiltshire

Which one is heavier?

- Mark, St Albans
