Madeleine McCann
Disappearance: Madeleine has been missing for two years

New suspect is revealed in search for Madeleine McCann

Police have released an artist's impression of the latest suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance.

The image shows a “very ugly” man who appeared to be watching the apartment where the four-year-old was staying with her family the day before she vanished.

It is based on the account of a British woman who was on holiday in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz when Madeleine went missing on 3 May 2007.

She saw the man, who had pitted skin and a large nose, twice in the days before Madeleine disappeared.

On 29 April the unnamed tourist was out with her daughter when she spotted him “acting suspiciously” in the street. Then three days later she saw the man again outside the McCanns' holiday flat.

She told police he was about 5ft 10in, slim and was wearing casual clothes, probably jeans.

Another two witnesses — a 12-year-old girl and a man from Cheshire — also reported seeing a man watching the McCanns' apartment.

They have not yet been able to confirm whether the person they saw was the same one shown in the artist's impression.

Dogged sheer determination and hope is the bedrock of the campaign led by the parents of little Madelaine McCann.
The worlwide organized systems now in place on behalf of all abducted and missing children, are the result of tireless campaigning by Madelaines parents.

Until the disappearance of the beautiful 3year old child of a professional British family, the crime of child abduction was not generally noticed by the wider community and detection methods mostly unco-ordinated.Things have changed! With the energies and intelligence applied by the McCanns to the worldwide problem of missing children, there is active global awareness now which will improve the detection of these inhumane crimes.

The team of intelligent, experienced professionals engaged by the McCanns to search and find answers, is exceptional by any standard.May the Force be with you all.

My prayers, faith, hope and love are with Madelaine and her family. Mhairi.

MADELIENE IS IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS EACH AND EVERY DAY. I VERY MUCH BELIEVE THAT SHE IS OUT THERE, AND TOTALLY UNAWARE THAT HER LOVING FAMILY ARE SEARCHING FOR HER. I FEEL THAT SHE IS WELL HIDDEN, BECAUSE OF HER EYE, WHICH MAKES SO EASILY RECOGNISABLE ~~ BUT ONE DAY, SHE WILL BE FOUND ~~ AND TRULY HOPE THAT WILL BE VERY SOON. SHE SHOULD BE RETURNED TO HER FAMILY AND PUT AN END TO THEIR TIRELESS SEARCH FOR HER. I PRAY TO GOD THAT SHE WILL BE HOME SOON.

WITH FONDEST THOUGHTS AND LOVE,

Sometimes when we lose something it appears right under our noses..although she was abducted in Portugal..if she was abducted to order then in all probability she could be in our own back yard..people in this country need to be very aware of any 'odd' families or strange comings and goings..I for one believe she is alive and has probably been fed some convincing lies by her new 'parents' and may not even realise she is 'missing'.As for the Portuguese police in my opinion the only thing they seemed to get right were the poses for the cameras.

It does seem strange that nothing was done about this man that was seen and it looks like the Spanish Police have done nothing. I know when i went to Teneriffe when i was young Las Americas there was a hudge riot and the Police instructed a riot squad to attack the tourists in the club areas as there were suspected drugs. Inoccent people with kids were atttacked for no reason. The next day in the papers it said that an English tourist was causing trouble. It was all a cover up as i was there and saw the injustice. Im sure other injustices are carried out or covered up in some places. not all of course and im sure most are fair but this case does seem strange. I watched the programme on tv last night about Madelene and it really upset me as it did when i first heard the news last year. I had a vivid dream last night that she was with a family, wearing a black cloak and had her head covered with the clothes they wear only a bit for her eyes to see through. I know it sounds crazy but no one would be able to tell its her if she was taken to a country where they have to cover up. The picture of the man looks like he could be from another country dressed in ordinary clothes. I know it was just a dream but i wonder if news would reach sertain countries? would they be allowed to speak out? Im sure the family have looked into different cultures and what the laws are.

I think now the McCans have very good detectives and they seem to know their work. The previous ones spanish and portuguese did not do their work properly.
I am more than convinced that Madeleine is alive and the day of her release is very near. I also think that the solution of the whole story is exactly in Praia de Luz and not far away. We pray to God to help the little girl come safely back to her family.
