A man is recovering in hospital after his car was involved in a head-on collision with a bus today.

He had to be cut from his seat by firefighters after his blue Nissan slammed into the front of the bus, which was believed to be empty. Police said the driver of the car, who has not been named, suffered “non-critical” injuries to his right leg and pelvis.

The accident happened in Finchley Road near the A406 North Circular, which was immediately closed by emergency services, shortly after six this morning.

Wonder who was to blame as must be quite difficult to have a head on with a bus!
