Through the keyhole at the £1.5m house of jailed gangster
Robert Mendick20 May 2009
Who would live in a house like this? Well let's consider the evidence. The big clue is the portrait hanging in the living room showing Al Pacino in The Godfather.
For this is the home of none other than Britain's own Godfather Terry Adams, the north London gangster currently languishing in jail for money laundering.
His mansion in Mill Hill has been put up for sale with an asking price £1,595,000. The proceeds will go towards paying off huge debts racked up by Adams following his conviction in 2007. He has been ordered to pay legal costs of almost £670,000 while facing a further four years in prison if he fails to settle a confiscation order for £750,000.
Adams, 54, was head of a notorious London crime family nicknamed the A-team or Adams Family, which is said to be responsible for as many as 25 murders.
But his house reflects the huge fortunes earned by his gang over the years. There is a grand piano in the garden room alongside a harp. A gold disc thought to be the gift of a pop star friend hangs on the wall next to a signed Arsenal shirt.
The house is being marketed by the estate agents Winkworth. The five/six bedroom house with four bathrooms - totalling 4,600 square feet - is set behind electric gates and protected by a £12,000 security system. The master bedroom is double height and has a balcony overlooking the landscaped gardens. The double garage, according to the estate agent particulars, is currently used as a gym.
In fact it has everything a well-heeled gangster would want from their home. It's just a shame for Adams he won't now be able to enjoy it.

Wow, wish i lived in a house like this, looks pretty sweet. Shame it was a muderous gangster pad, otherwise it looks quite nice.

Is it J.Smiths 2nd or 3rd home? Certainly it must be a MPs home or at least one of their many homes we are paying for.

A property bought with blood money and execution of lives. No thanks, I dont want to help pay off a murderous gangster. Rot in jail would be the best option.

Don't see the funny side to this. I heard the Adams gang were a bunch of vicious killers, they should be eradicated totally not banged up for 7 years.
And quite how David Crocket, (didn't he die at the Alamo?), jumps from a Gangsters drum to UKip is bizarre.
By the way Davy boy, several UKip MEP's have been done for fiddling their expenses, fiddling their tax returns and their leader caught fiddling with a barmaid, much to his Wifes surprise/ Wonderful role model ain't he?

Looks just like the average MPs second home, just after it has been done up at my expense.
