Hazel Blears
Under fire: Hazel Blears

Minister Blears only in her job ‘at the moment’

Joe Murphy
20 May 2009

Gordon Brown's relations with Cabinet minister Hazel Blears fell to a new low today after he appeared to mark her for the sack.

Asked directly if Ms Blears would stay in the next reshuffle, the Prime Minister said she was in her job as Communities Secretary “at the moment”. His remark on GMTV came after he described expenses claims as “totally unacceptable”. Ms Blears has been under fire since it was revealed she avoided a £13,000 capital gains tax bill. In a further sign Mr Brown is getting tough, MP Margaret Moran, who claimed £22,500 to treat dry rot, was facing de-selection.

Why do we have to wait for an election before the greedy MP's leave their nests and stand down.

There is no confidence in our MP's at this time

Would an employer allow his workers to stay on with full pay, for perhaps a full year, after finding out that they had been caught out stealing, being dishonest and fraudulentin the business. NO WAY! They would be out the door so fast they wouldn't know what hit them.

What do we do with our politicians? We keep them on the gravy train, and still continue to pay them. Will we EVER learn?

Her Luciferian arrogance is quite beyond belief...."Pride before a Downfall" (proverb).

It is quite extraordinary, a few Months ago everyone one saying, nay, shouting from the Rooftops that Mr. John Taylor (who took The Rt. Dis-honourable Mrs. Ann Keen MP to Court, for not showing care to a constituant and not doing her job) was just a silly old man, who had no chance of taking an Mp to Court, indeed that it was not possible to take an MP to Court has, although losing his case, been somewhat vindicated by the events of the past few days/weeks. NO ONE HAS HAD THE DEACENCY TO APOLOGISE TO HIM. The events which have transpired regarding Expenses issue, Theft, Lies, Deciet and complete betrayal of trust, the Treasonable behaviour of the ghastly Speaker and his Cronies (remember, Ann Keens' Sister is a Deputy Speaker) does, more than vindicate Mr. Taylor. Where people in power could have supported him, they chose to belittle and ridicule him - well, let their conscience tell them what is right and what is wrong.

Gordon Brown getting tough???

That reminds me of the black night in Monty Python: "You'll get what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!"

Everytime I see a photo of Hazel Blears I think...

....isn't she the one who tried to pull a fast one which we all have to pay for ?

It goes for a few others as well.

Anyone else think the same ?

Judging by the picture above her dress-sense alone should be grounds for instant dismissal...

Brown used weasel words to suggest strong actions whilst defending Blears against breaking the rules. She will be fired for the You Tube comment but not for her perceived lack of financial integrity.

Reading across a wide range of blogs and news sites today its pretty clear that the words "odious" , "unpleasant" and "crook" are most frequently used to describe Hazel Blears.

Why did the people of Salford elect her ?- was there something that she said or did that persuaded you all?

This woman is unbelievable, evidence that many politicians are only in it for their own gain.

I look forward to the supercilious grin being wiped off this odious woman's face when she is sacked. Also, it will be refreshing to see a new "line up" on the front benches when the current bunch of crooks are kicked off it.
