Reprieve: Damian McBride will not be kicked out of the Labour Party

Labour email spin chief can stay in party

Disgraced former Downing Street aide Damian McBride will not be kicked out of the Labour Party, the Standard can reveal.

Gordon Brown's former strategy chief and spin doctor has kept a low profile since he was forced out over “smeargate”, when it emerged that he had sent emails with allegations about the private lives of David Cameron, George Osborne and others.

Labour sources said yesterday's National Executive Committee meeting had ruled that, as Mr McBride's local party in Finchley was not agitating for his expulsion, it did not need to take further action.

McBride should stay in the Party as a symbol of Labour's moral compass.

Be nice to him Brown. He'll soon be the only person voting for your totally discredited party.

So we can expect that all the corrupt members of parliament who have been thieving from the public purse to fund their second homes and lavish lifestyles will also be allowed to stay in the party! Proof - if more proof were needed - that the party is totally morally corrupt.
