Man stabbed to death outside club

A Turkish man has been stabbed to death outside a late-night party at a west London nightclub.

The 33-year-old had been attending a Turkish-themed event at The Crescent Club in West Kensington.

Trouble flared at the North End Road club in the early hours of yesterday morning as a fight broke out between rival groups.

Private investor Simon Dorrington, 27, who lives nearby and was woken by loud shouting, said: "I saw a huge swirling fight. It was evident that some guy had collapsed in the corner. "

The victim died just over an hour later at a west London hospital.

Residents helped to defeat an attempt to open a stripclub on the site last November. It became a nightclub instead when Hammersmith & Fulham Council refused it the necessary licence.

One man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Why is the government dealing with community service ect.. who ever commits a high ranged crime should be either deported or kept locked for ever as taking a life is something serious not a small crime. If u take a life then u should be locked up for life or get deported back to your country. and english police should now carry guns or this crime will go on and on.

The Crescent Club has been a danger to locals since it tried to open as a lap dancing club last year, since then there have been numerous reports of fighting in the street by punters, intimidation of staff and passers by by club promoters, guns, drugs, knives, sex in public places and now murder. Shame on the police and Hammersmith and Fulham council for not acting sooner...now someone is dead. The bar however is open for business today and is offering a free bottle of wine with every platter ordered!

The government has to introduce bans on knives with automatic sentancing for those caught carrying a knife. First offence should be 100 community service (cleaning streets and graffiti etc), with secound offence mandatory 1 year in jail.
