A millionaire banker who went missing with a shotgun has been found dead in woodland in Winkfield, Berkshire.

Huibert Boumeester, 49, who recently lost his job at Dutch bank ABN Amro, is believed to have shot himself.

The Dutch financier, who had homes in Clapham and Belgravia plus an estate in Scotland, was reported missing after he failed to attend a meeting last Monday.

Jim, if Brown stays in power much longer, things will move beyond the 'verge of bankruptcy' for the U.K. A number of international agencies have warned the U.K. to make massive cutbacks now in public spending if things aren't to get truly dire. Instead, Brown and his Darling are contemplating £175billion of spending "to spend their way out of recession!". It beggars belief, and it's very scary indeed.

Very sad and condolences to the family. One can't forget that the ex Chancellor and present PM had a part in this sorry saga

When a good working citizen, paid an extremely high income, who is accostomed to and lives according to that lifetyle then loses that income, then leads to loss of home and everything else, watching their savinsg and investments collapse to nil - it is an unbearable strain. I agree with Jim fully. It makes me sick to hear how the like of RBS still have corporate hospitality at hundreds of thousands of piunds - what for? to reward their performance? its sickening.

Don't see any British bankers doing the same thing though, far too self-centred and arrogant, hey Sir Fred?

His poor family: when the rest of the country carps about how much people in the City are earning they don't see how much stress they are under and how work takes over their lives.
