The key players in Jackson's camp

Amar Singh
29 Jun 2009

DR CONRAD MURRAY
The singer's live-in doctor denies he administered a powerful painkilling injection which has been blamed for causing Jackson's heart attack. After being hired by tour promoters AEG Live, the physician moved in with
Jackson at his rented Los Angeles home about two weeks ago, and was due to accompany the star to London.

EDWARD CHERNOFF
The criminal defence lawyer representing Dr Murray. He is set to robustly fend off claims that Dr Murray was in any way responsible
for his death. He claims the physician promptly administered CPR.

DR TOHME TOHME
Saudi-Arabian orthopaedic surgeonturned business guru was managing Jackson until a month before his death, when the pair fell out over a legal issue. Has denied being at the house when Jackson collapsed but arrived soon after.

BRIAN OXMAN
The Jackson family lawyer — sacked in 2005 but has re-emerged as the family spokesman following the singer's death. Has insisted that LAPD had opened a criminal investigation.

JOE JACKSON
The patriarch of the Jackson family is pushing for a full investigation into all the circumstances surrounding his son's death, revealing today that he “suspects foul play”.

JESSE JACKSON
The civil rights activist and Baptist minister advised the family to call for a second, private, autopsy. Has been vocal in suggesting that too many questions regarding the death are
going unanswered and has accused Dr Murray of behaving “bizarrely”.

REV AL SHARPTON
The civil rights leader has joined up with the Jackson family and will help organise funeral arrangements. Sharpton said he had spoken to
Jackson's father and they were considering several global events to celebrate the life of the singer.

NATION OF ISLAM
Jackson is said to have fallen under the influence of the religious group in the months leading up to his death. Nation of Islam bodyguards had been provided for the singer and his children and still have a presence in the family home.

GRACE RWARAMBA
Nanny, sacked by Jackson last year, has flown to LA to seek custody of his children. The Rwandan, who now lives in Ireland, has claimed that Jackson's mother Katherine phoned her the
morning after the death to ask where Jackson “hid the cash” and claims she regularly had to pump the singer's stomach after he overdosed on medication.

FRANK DILEO
Jackson's manager during the star's heyday until he was sacked in 1989. “Uncle Tookie”, as Jackson referred to him, was re-hired by AEG two months ago to oversee the star's comeback.
Was at the hospital and broke the news of the death to Jackson's children.
