Hooded gunmen shoots teens in estate attack

Two teenagers were gunned down on a housing estate in a planned attack.

The 16-year-olds were shot in the legs outside flats in Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate, Camden.

A third youth, 17, was beaten by the hooded gunmen.

Witnesses saw a car picking up the three attackers in Boundary Road and it sped towards St John's Wood, which borders the estate.

Others saw a man in a silver Porsche convertible waiting outside nearby garages moments before the shots were fired.

One woman said: "I was washing up in my kitchen when I noticed three men arrive. Then, moment later, I heard three clear gun shots and they came running back out of the estate. They were crouching behind parked cars until another car came to pick them up. It looked highly organised and was over very quickly."

Parts of the estate were cordoned off and sniffer dogs were brought in to search the area.

The victims were recovering in hospital last night with injuries that were said to be non life-threatening.
