Tory MP ‘claimed £13,000 for au pair’

A millionaire Tory MP was under huge pressure to quit today amid allegations that he claimed £13,000 in expenses for an au pair.

Shadow solicitor general Jonathan Djanogly denied the Polish student provided child care and said she had only worked as a cleaner.

But the Daily Telegraph newspaper said the Polish student advertised for an au pair's job on the website newaupair.com, describing herself as a nanny hoping to work in London.

Under Parliamentary rules, cleaning costs can be reimbursed but bills for child care cannot.

The paper said Mr Djanogly claimed an average of £400 a month for a cleaner at his constituency home even though his family spent on average three days or less at the property.

The Huntingdon MP has already agreed to repay £25,000 in expenses and said he will not claim the second home allowance until the system has been reformed.

Question,
If this guy is earning £300,000, yes £300,000! as various papers report then how does he find the time to attend parliament ley alone fiddle his expenses?
Hmm Maybe I'm missing something.

Cameron is not behaving in a proper down to earth way with principles and the country and its people at his heart. He has no understanding of grass root politics and this man should be fired and made to pay back every cent.Lots of people are fed up with these lying and dishonest members of parliament and the quicker they go the better.Disgraceful.

Djanogly is a joke, this is also the man who claimed for jam making equippment. He does nothing for his consituents, I should I know I live there, and he knows that he can get away with it because its the safest tory seat in the country. He represents everything that is wrong with Tory party - opportunistic, self interested and scourages of others to benefit the rich.

Typical MP employs an au pair as a cleaner, I tied to employ a Lithuanian student as an au pair but was refused as I have no children.

This MP is safe as he is a millionaire and one of Dave's cronies. Dave seems to have two lists, those who can get away with murder without reproach, and others who can safely be sacrificed to make Dave look honest and strict. Djanogly also has the benefit of an attractive wife and a foreign sounding name and embodies Dave's new-look Tory Party.

If these Tories get in they are going to have to take some tough decisions which will hurt working people, pensioners, students and others in the pocket seriously. If I am going to have to spend my pension years eating dog food or if my daughter is going to be crippled by student debt when, not if, university fees rise then I would rather not receive the bad news from a bunch of rich toffs who'se moral if not legal judgement stinks.

Cameron has to act fast to get rid if not only this guy but also Gove, Duncan, Maude, Grayling and all the other expenses fiddlers because I for one will not take any crap from anyone without some moral authority. These shysters have between them not a shred and Cameron's government will fail to survive it's first term.
