Michael Jackson's final resting place remains a mystery

Jackson brothers plan to ‘bury star at Neverland’

Three of Michael Jackson's brothers are to seek permission to bury the King of Pop at his Neverland ranch, it is claimed.

The singer's final resting place remains a mystery a fortnight after he died at his rented home in Los Angeles.

Californian officials said creating a cemetery at the rural estate near Santa Barbara could take weeks.

But ABC news in America claimed a family source confirmed the brothers have begun a lengthy bid to establish a state-sanctioned burial ground on the 2,800-acre grounds.

Brothers Jermaine, Jackie and Tito have all visited Neverland since Jackson's death.

The family has refused to discuss the whereabouts of Jackson's body after Tuesday's public memorial.

Officials at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where the Jacksons held a private service on Tuesday morning, refused to comment last night on whether Jackson's body was being stored there while funeral arrangements were made. Speculation the star was laid to rest before the Staples Centre show was dismissed by family sources.

Coroner's officers suggested one reason for the delay may be that the Jacksons wanted to wait until tests on Michael's brain were completed before burying him.

Russ Heimerich, spokesman for the California State Cemetery and Funeral Board, wouldn't confirm whether or not the family had filed an application to build a cemetery at Neverland.

“The application is a confidential document,” he said.

It came as the producers of London's Thriller — Live musical announced plans for a worldwide tour. The West End show will begin a 12-month tour in Munich on 21 July.

Dates have been confirmed in Barcelona, Cologne, Zurich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Berlin.

The show will also visit most other European countries and America.

Their wish to bury him at Neverland wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that if he were buried in a public cemetary then they could't charge fans to visit the grave - like Elvis/Graceland - would it??

Well it had to happen, the Jackson brothers are trying to cash in on Michaels death, its all about money now.
Very few people could have helped Michael with his drug addiction and mental problems but i am sure they could have.
The children should not have been at the memorial service, they sadly had nobody to cling on to,they had no mother to love, how selfish Michael was, only thinking of himself, like his brothers.
He should be buried.at Forest Lawns where his children can visit him in peace and quiet in the years to come, that is what normal people do.
If all of these Jackson shows are being put on,who gets the profits? A Jackson fan does"t want a poor copy they want the original and they have that with their DVDs and CDs

I wish now they'd stop printing articles like 'We won't bury Michael until we get his brain back'.

I keep expecting Steve Martin to make the next comment..............
