Leicester Square for sale on eBay!

A slice of Theatreland history is being auctioned on eBay - scores of vintage signs from some of London's most famous streets.

Westminster council was today putting up 90 signs, each with a reserve price of £100. It is replacing them with signs that have a red band above the street name and tragedy/comedy masks.

The first 30, including Leicester Square and Shaftesbury Avenue, went online at noon. The council hopes to raise £10,000 for street improvements.
