Barack Obama throws out the first pitch at a baseball game in St Louis, Missouri.

St Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols helped the president, moving up on the plate and reaching out to scoop the toss.

Obama had warmed up on the White House grounds on Monday, and was determined his pitch would reach the plate. It did, but only just.

The President was wearing the jacket of his home team, the Chicago White Sox.

“My wife thinks I look cute in this jacket,” he said.

Much has been made of Barack Obama's lack of baseball skills and knowledge, but I got to say, he is still much better than Bush as a President and as a Pitcher. He inherited the USA in one of the worst states it has ever been in, fighting two wars it can't seem to win in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a full-blown recession. But, in just one year he has introduced and won a Heathcare Bill that will offer important care to all citizens, no matter of how much they earn. Surely, that's a good idea. So, Obama may not be a sports star, but some sports sites like http://www.dozensports.com made a point of including him in their sports pages. I guess, Obamania is still going strong in America.
