Queen's Royal visit
20 Jul 2009
The Queen today became the first monarch in centuries to watch a Swan Upping ceremony on the Thames.
She sailed to Bray, near Windsor Castle, to see the 12th century ritual counting of the birds.
A team of boatmen called Swan Uppers catch, weigh and mark a pair of swans and their cygnets on the river every July.
