'I'm proud my Facebook party cost police £10,000'

A teenager whose party turned into a riot after he advertised it on Facebook has boasted that he has cost taxpayers thousands of pounds in policing costs.

A police helicopter and spotter plane were scrambled after a mass brawl broke out at the joint party of Seva Nurueva, 15, and Jordan Wright, 17.

About 70 officers including dog handlers were needed to break up the fight and five teenagers were arrested after about 250 revellers turned up at the party in Farnborough, Hampshire.

It took the officers from Surrey and Hampshire police an hour and a half to restore calm after battling with more than 30 troublemakers in the normally quiet residential street.

The Surrey police helicopter alone costs around £500 for every hour it spends in the air. Hampshire Police said they were looking at CCTV footage from both aircraft and more arrests might follow.

Revellers smashed a table in Jordan's home, vomited in his bedroom and several fights broke out in the garden. But today he was unrepentant. He said: "I have no regrets at all. It was a great party. I am well proud that people are saying it cost the police £10,000. My mates are saying what a sick party it was - the best yet.

"Seventy or eighty police officers came down for a house party! I have put my street on the map."

Four male teenagers - two from Farnborough aged 18 and two from Aldershot aged 18 and 19 - were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed pending further enquiries while a 17-year-old boy from Farnborough was fined £80 for using threatening behaviour.

The street was left littered with glass and rubbish after the party on Saturday night.

Seva described the party as "pretty good", but admitted events had spiralled out of control. Partygoers described it on Facebook as "f***ing mental" and "wicked".

Apparently unaware of his bragging, Jordan's mother, Sherry Wright, 34, claimed her son was "really apologetic". She said: "I think he is really apologetic for everything that happened. He takes full responsibility. I had about 40 in the house and 200 outside. It just spilled out into the road and there was a riot."

Seva's stepfather, Laurence Aghabi, said: "For me, it is embarrassing because we thought we could control the 80 children who were invited. I told them it's nothing to be proud of. It was stupid and unnecessary. I've got to give the neighbours bottles of wine and apology cards."

Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses. There were no reports of serious injuries.

If this young man thinks he did agood job in creting a riot then he should be made to pay every openny of the costs for breaking it up then see if he's still bragging. Every action has its consequences and for a small proportion of the youth of today they are never made to understand that and live with those consequences rather than have the expectation that they can do what they like when they like.

I bet he wouldn't be proud if we gave him the bill and he was made to pay for it. Surely for comments like his he should be given an ASBO or something!

Why can't the police demand the cost of policing from both of them via their parents? I'd hope that would soon wipe the smirk from their faces!

It's a shame they didn't send the Met in for a spot of kettling and modern crowd control. He'd struggle to spout such childish bravado with half his teeth missing.

Country of the civilised? What good is boosting about being civilised when we can't even teach our teens how to behave?

Any party put out on Facebook or any other media should automatically come with a warning that Police involvement will bring with it a bill.

Society can benefit from the lower orders. When they step out of line they can be culled and useful body parts donated to law abiding citizenry.

Discuss.

It seems the people who vomited in his bed knew him better than we do, so who are we to judge them?!

As for his mum thinking she could have a party with 80 invited people in a 3 bedroom house: she is clearly in La-La Land and has no idea what 'taking full responsibility' actually means. I feel sorry for the long-suffering Step-Father: just why does there always seem to be a long-suffering Step-Father footing the bill after an out-of-control 'Facebook party'? Perhaps it's just coincidence . . .

Pay Attention Alan Milburn, after 12 years of your ghastly mob in power people like these members of our benefit driven underclass are more prominent and prolific than ever. I take it you weren't talking about this waste of skin and DNA when you were banging on about social mobility. Young Jordan has a great future ahead of him - not a doctor, not a lawyer, not even a useful member of society. Saying all that I find it amazing that Hampshire Police responded in the way they did. What was so different about this miserable incident to warrant the helicopter and all the rest?

get a life people. the Boy is just bragging like all teenage boys do, one shouldn't take him seriously and indeed no one would unless the Standard, harrumphing as usual like a wheezy old major didn't whip the brain dead into a frenzy of ring wing polemic. I see the usual suspects are blaming Brown et al, although for once it wasn't Frank!
The thing you really need to be up in arms about is why the Rozzers felt the need to send 80 officers, helicopters, dog handlers etc. They don't do that when real criminality takes place.

The kid looks and sounds like a silly little prat, but surely use of a helicopter and spotter plane are an overreaction of massive proportions? In my youth we had parties with those kind of numbers, easily, and the most we'd get would be the police coming in to tell people to turn the stereo down and maybe the odd person being carted off with alchohol poisoning.

Maybe the parents could do themselves a favour by attaching the families fake jewelery to their children's feet and push them into the nearest lake.

This sort of attitude is typical of this sort of youth. Unfortunately, authority i.e. the police have lost all their powers through the Human Rights Act and scum like this know it. Whilst I would like to say he should pay towards the 10k he and his little chums cost us decent hard working people, chances are he's got a life time of claiming all the benefits going so we would be paying for it in any case.

The yoof of today bang on about respect but this kid obviously has no respect for himself, his home or even his own mother. Even animals don't soil their own nests but he has. Both kids in the photo look odd, I don't know if it's a result of the picture being altered or if they really look like that. Maybe a result of non-selective breeding or even inbreeding? The end result is the same either way: thoroughly repugnant.
